Money isn’t going to be the biggest contributing factor in

Cavaliers forward LeBron James’ decision in 2010. James can opt out of

his contract after the 2009-10 season and become an unrestricted free

agent.

The New York media seems convinced that he’ll be headed to either

the Nets or Knicks.

“When I make that decision, it will be based on winning multiple

championships,” James said before Tuesday’s game at the Izod Center.

“If it’s moving elsewhere, I will have to weigh all my options.”

That goal of winning a title could occur with the Cavs.

“This is the best team we’ve had since I’ve been here,” he said.

“You have to see how the season plays out and be patient.

Normally, when Utah Jazz power forward Carlos Boozer is coming to town, it causes a furor.

However, it’s become a minor blip on the NBA radar screen.

When Boozer skipped town in the summer of 2004, the Cavaliers were forced to make a two-for-one trade with Orlando. The Cavaliers sent backup center Tony Battie and two second-round picks to the Magic in exchange for Drew Gooden and an unknown Brazilian big man named Anderson Varejao.

Gooden, of course, has since been traded, but the 6-foot-11, 260-pound Varejao has become a key performer for the Cavs.

In his last six games, he’s averaging 10.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. He’s also shooting 72.7 percent from the field (24-for-33).

The Milwaukee Bucks signed Mo Williams to a six-year, $52 million contract on July 24, 2007. A little more than a year later, they couldn’t wait to ship him out of town.

The Cavaliers more than obliged and consummated the three-team deal last Aug. 13.

Williams, 25, faced the Bucks for the first time since the trade in the Cavs’ 99-93 win on Tuesday. He had 16 points, five assists and one steal.

He knows why the Bucks opened up the bank vault to sign him and why he was dispatched to Cleveland.

“I think I’m good,” he said. “For business reasons, they traded me. I don’t think my game is diminishing.

“They gave me my contract. Never bite the hand that feeds you.”

Williams said he had no bitter feelings facing his old team.
